Polyethylene fiber is a polyolefin fiber spun from linear polyethylene (high-density polyethylene), also known as ethylene fiber. Polyethylene has a lower melting point than ordinary polypropylene, around 115 to 135 degrees Celsius. It has low water absorption and excellent electrical insulation performance, and can be used in products such as brown pads, spray-bonded cotton, and boards to meet the needs of different customers. Main specifications: 3-20D×38-150mm. The color can be produced according to the customer's requirements.

Characteristics and Applications of polyethylene staple fibers

The fiber strength and elongation are close to those of polypropylene

2. Its moisture absorption capacity is similar to that of polypropylene, and its moisture regain rate is almost zero under normal atmospheric conditions.

3. It has relatively stable chemical properties and good resistance to chemicals and corrosion.

4. It has relatively poor heat resistance, but good resistance to damp heat. Its melting point is 130-135℃, which is lower than that of other fibers, and it has very poor resistance to melt holes.

5. It has good electrical insulation. It has poor light resistance and is prone to aging under light exposure.

Ethylene has poor wearing performance, but its price is relatively low. It is suitable for making bristles, flat filaments or membrane-split fibers, and is used to manufacture ropes, filter cloths, packaging cloths, etc. Ultra-high strength polyethylene short fibers have a low melting point and good impact resistance. Therefore, it is widely used in bulletproof and stab-proof products and is often combined with other high-performance fibers to make composite materials.

Storage Requirements for Polypropylene Staple Fiber

A Keep away from light and UV rays. Store in a cool, shaded place, away from direct sunlight or strong UV sources. Polypropylene is sensitive to UV; prolonged exposure can cause fiber aging, discoloration, and reduced tensile strength.  

B Ventilation requirements: Storage warehouses must maintain good ventilation to prevent fibers from becoming damp or developing odors due to stagnant air.
